Certificates of authenticity

At KARAAT, trust, honesty, and transparency are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every customer deserves clarity and confidence in their purchase, which is why we are proud to share how we ensure the authenticity, responsibility, and excellence of each piece.

Hallmarks that ensure quality

All of our jewelry is crafted from high-quality 18-karat gold and marked with official stamps that confirm both origin and purity. The “750” hallmark indicates that 75% of the metal is pure gold. In addition to this, every piece is stamped with the maker’s mark from our Italian partner, Clarimond Manifattura — identified by a star and the code 1704RM, as well as KARAAT’s own brand mark and the total carat weight of the diamond(s) (tcw).

The placement of these hallmarks depends on the type of jewelry: they are typically engraved on the inside of the band for rings, on the post or clasp for earrings, and near the fastening for necklaces and bracelets. These small but significant markings are essential in fine jewelry, ensuring the origin and quality of the materials used.

HRD certificate for diamonds

All diamonds of 0.5 carats or more are accompanied by an internationally recognized certificate from HRD Antwerp. This certification provides a detailed report on the diamond’s four Cs — carat, color, clarity, and cut — as well as its proportions and internal characteristics. Each certified diamond is laser-inscribed with a unique serial number, invisible to the naked eye, linking it to its certificate and ensuring full traceability. The certificate is also available digitally through the HRD database for added convenience and verification. More than just a document, it is your assurance that the diamond has been expertly evaluated by an independent authority.

The KARAAT certificate

Every piece of KARAAT jewelry is delivered with its own KARAAT certificate, filled out by our team. This document includes key details about your piece: the order number, the design, the quality and quantity of gold used, and the specifications of the diamond(s). It is our way of adding a personal and trustworthy finishing touch — offering transparency and peace of mind with every purchase.
